Last night I went to the 17th annual festival in the town of Alta Gracia about an hour outside Córdoba. It is a huge festival that lasts a week long and has tents that have food and music from countries around the world. The group of other volunteers and I tried to taste something from them all!
Sangria from España, burritos from México and crepes from Francia.
We also went to the Colombia tent where we danced bachata to a song I knew, Propuesta Indecente by Romeo Santos. It was great making fools of ourselves in front of a huge crowd. We also danced our way around Cuba and La Repubica Dominicana. We found it quite amusing that the Argentina tent was the most crowded. They can eat Argentine cuisine whenever they want, but when there are options from all over, they choose to stick with what they know.
It was a night full of good food, good music and good people. A great way to start my life in this beautiful country.
As for tonight, the girls and I are going out for drinks and exploring the night life that Córdoba has to offer!
