Cøsmos is here 🚀
The five-year long journey of launching the first public BFT Proof-of-Stake blockchain is complete. It truly is a remarkable feat: a public blockchain built from the very foundational consensus algorithm all the way up to the modular state machine. The interoperable universe of application-specific blockchains is ready.

On its journey to launch, Cosmos has gathered a great number of talented teams and individuals from all over the world. Vibrant communities have sprouted in the US, China, Europe, Romania, Hong Kong, Korea, and more. Over 80+ projects are building on the Cosmos ecosystem, with many more to come.
Watching the Cosmos Hub produce blocks was a bit emotional for us.
As some of you may know, we have been a crucial part of the Korean Cosmos community for the past two years. We’ve hosted 10+ Cosmos Korea meetups, translated and published nearly 100 blogposts, managed the largest local Cosmos community in the world, and have been developing our Lunagram wallet (coming soon 😅). The launch made us realize that all of the effort that went into spreading the word on Cosmos was not in vain.
Our work in spreading the word about Comsos will continue, with an added focus on applications. Just as we use the internet for what we can do rather than what the internet is, we believe that having quality applications on the Cosmos ecosystem is key to its success.
We are fully convinced that Cosmos provides the best environment to create blockchain applications, and we will try to onboard as many local projects as we can into the ecosystem.
To put a twist on the words of Carl Sagan above,
