J-Term has been a Lindenwood tradition for years. It offers students three weeks to indulge in a class that may or may not pertain to their major.

For roughly three hours a day, Monday through Thursday, the free January term classes could no longer exist after this 2015–2016 year.

I sat down with the Dean of Communications Mike Wall and asked if he could fill us in on if this change has been set in stone.

Lindenwood’s Marylin Abbott would not agree to sit down with me for an on camera interview but she did say, “The main reason we are considering making this move has to do with problems that the J-Term causes in the spring semester course offerings, the apparent lack of interest in J-Term by students, as well as the cost to the University.”
