She always keeps us on our toes. And this Friday, Taylor Swift will drop her 10th original studio album with not a single, music video or even a snippet of a song to be spoken of. It’s a thrilling anticipatory period for a major pop record, and a perfect opportunity to rank the star’s releases to date. I’m only counting the first released edition of each album, because, let’s be honest, the “Taylor’s Versions” are glorified Deluxe Editions…

9. Taylor Swift

A very middle-of-the-road country album. Not much to see here. If you’re a die-hard fan of this record, I won’t fight you, we are probably just into different things.

Best track: Our Song

8. Speak Now

A bit of a step backwards after Fearless, it’s easy to forget this didn’t produce any real smash hits, but “Sparks Fly” is a banger she should perform more on recent tours.

Best track: Sparks Fly
