The 20 Best Films of 2022

It’s been interesting seeing the breadth of good films each year claw back after the pandemic. In 2020, I had to merge my best film and TV lists into one, because there wasn’t enough of either. Last year I was just about able to assemble 10 films worthy of being on a list. But in 2022, the standard was really quite high. So much so, that I’ve increased my annual list to 20.
