The 5 Most Dreadful Performances in ‘Justice League’

Justice League is not just an awful piece of cinema, it’s also a showcase of some of the worst acting this decade — from otherwise talented performers!

Note: the best performance in this film belongs to Billy Crudup as The Flash’s dad. So shoutout to him.

1. CIARAN HINDS as STEPPENWOLF

Hinds phones in a mo-cap performance as the insufferable death demon, and gets to utter such lines as “WHERE?! IS?! MY?! MOTHERBOX?!”. But he doesn’t even attempt to put any life in it.

2. HENRY CAVILL as SUPERMAN

Superman shows up about 80 minutes in, which is sufficient time for Cavill to absolutely ruin the character. His Mission: Impossible moustache has been digitally removed, so his face is a floating CGI smudge in half the shots. He isn’t even bothering with an American accent anymore.

3. BEN AFFLECK as BATMAN

Batfleck wasn’t that terrible in Batman v Superman. Ohhhhh how that’s changed. His Bruce Wayne is a narcissist smirker, making advances at Wonder Woman and cockily eying Aquaman.

4. AMY ADAMS as LOIS LANE

You won’t believe Amy Adams can be truly terrible in a film until you’ve seen her Lois Lane scenes in Justice League. It’s obviously not her fault — but why did she even agree to utter Joss Whedon’s attempt at an oral sex joke, or tell Superman that he “smells nice”?

5. RAY FISHER as CYBORG

This guy brought his Shakespearean training to a knife fight, and delivers a stunningly joyless turn as a weird robot boy.
