Luxcore September 2020 Update: RandomX Integration Complete

Attention Luxcore Community!

We are excited to announce that the RandomX mining algorithm integration is now complete and actively being monitored by the Luxcore team on our testnet. This is a monumental step towards realizing a truly decentralized Luxcore network and enshrining best security, privacy, and efficiency practices — all vital characteristics that are necessary to stay competitive in today’s blockchain ecosystem.

Additionally, the Lux wallet functionalities are being tested, and Proof-of-Stake (PoS), masternodes, etc. are running smoothly. The Randomx Mining Pool Stratum, is currently working, but in the process of being optimized to ameliorate the stability.

On top of this, both CPU and GPU miners are functional, but require further optimization. The Luxcore team will continue to stress test all of the above to reach optimal efficiency and release a future statement when full working capacity is achieved.

Finally, once we are satisfied with how the Lux wallet and miners are cooperating, we will start to roll out RandomX optimizations to bring RX2, Luxcore’s enhanced version of RandomX, to life.
