How To Set Up Goldshell HS5 Siacoin Miner
Follow the directions below to set up your HS5 to mine Siacoin with Luxor Mining Pool. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us on Discord or comment below.
First, connect an Ethernet cable to your miner, and plug in the power cord at the bottom of the miner. Turn on the miner, then both the red and green status indicators will blink at the same time indicating a power-on self-test. After that, if the red light goes out and the green light remains on, the miner is started successfully.
Next, you will need to obtain the miner’s IP address before proceeding to configuration.
Since most miners now come with DHCP enabled you do not have to manually set the IP address, you just need to look at the IP table on your router or use a scanning tool. On the controller board, click the IP Report button (above). Hold it down until it beeps (about 5 seconds) and then you should be able to locate it.
You can also get the IP address of the miner through the batch processing tool provided by Goldshell — Yotta BC1.4.9. Please go to the official website to download: https://github.com/goldshellminer/YottaBC）.
After getting your miner’s IP address, you are ready for Configuration.
