Meet Sunny Chuang, Chief Sommelier and also the F&B Director at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli.

Prior to Sunny’s recent position in The St. Regis Maldives, he was also a F&B Director is several top-notch resorts in the Maldives such as Waldorf Astoria, Huvafen Fushi, Velaa Private Island and One and Only Reethi Rah. Now, you wonder how many years has he been in the Maldives? The answer is almost 20 years. Yes, he has been waking up to paradise for almost 20 years. (Jealous!)

I had an opportunity to pick Sunny’s brain in my recent lockdown with him and it was eye-opening. I thought I knew the basics of wines, oh I was so wrong. I barely scratched the surface. Well, here is what Sunny has to say.
