Observer name(s): C. Stauffer

Location: Richmond Police Station

What meeting did you attend (name of the body, whether it was a regular or special meeting, etc)?

Richmond District, Regularly Scheduled Community Meeting

Did you attend the whole meeting?

Yes

Tell us about public input: Did it happen? How was it conducted? Did it seem adequate?

Yes — there were no un-affiliated members of the community there, presumed due to basketball game being on. The presenters gave a quick update in what they were doing regarding concerns that were raised at the previous meeting. There was an opportunity for questions throughout the entire discussion. The setting is informal, and the allowance for public input is adequate.

Tell us about the government: Who was there? Were they attentive? Were they prepared? Were they courteous with each other and the public?

Acting Captain Lieutenant Captain led the meeting because Captain O’Brien is still out. ADA Archie Wong as well as a representative from DPW were asked to be present to address questions that came up the previous month. They were attentive, prepared and courteous. A representative from SF Safe also attended as did the President of the Juvenile Probation Commission, Leif Dautch. Both attended as listeners rather than presenters. I was the only other attendee.

Want to tell us anything else (about the process used, the content of the meeting, decisions made, adherence to laws and regulations, etc)?

The meeting ran smoothly.
