What meeting did you attend (name of the body, whether it was a regular or special meeting, etc)?

Rules Committee of the Board of Supervisors, special meeting

Agenda.

Minutes.

Did you attend the whole meeting?

No.

Tell us about public input: Did it happen? How was it conducted? Did it seem adequate?

Public Input happened. I arrived when public comment was being conducted. Public comment with respect to the two nominees for the Police Commission were conducted together, which meant that the people present that supported/opposed either or both nominees were all lined up together without much order of what to expect on their position of the nominees until they were at the podium. The line was quite long for public comment, and all commentators were given adequate time to say their thoughts on the respective nominees.

Tell us about the government: Who was there? Were they attentive? Were they prepared? Were they courteous with each other and the public?

Rules Committee comprised of Supervisor Safai, Stefani, Yee. Supervisor Cohen was briefly present for the meeting as well. The Supervisors prepared questions to ask the nominees on each nominee would approach the job of Police Commissioner. They were courteous with each other and the public.

Want to tell us anything else (about the process used, the content of the meeting, decisions made, adherence to laws and regulations, etc)?

(Nothing submitted.)
