What meeting did you attend (name of the body, whether it was a regular or special meeting, etc)?

Rules Committee of the Board of Supervisors, special meeting

Agenda.

Minutes.

Did you attend the whole meeting?

No.

Tell us about public input: Did it happen? How was it conducted? Did it seem adequate?

Public input was adjusted so that the Mayor’s nominees for the Police Commission were addressed together (not separately). It seemed adequate from the TV broadcast.

Tell us about the government: Who was there? Were they attentive? Were they prepared? Were they courteous with each other and the public?

D11 Supervisor Ahsha Safai, D7 Supervisor Norman Yee, D2 Supervisor Catherine Stefani were attentive, prepared and courteous. There also were a number of members of the public who also currently or have served in government roles, including on or advising the Police Commission.

Want to tell us anything else (about the process used, the content of the meeting, decisions made, adherence to laws and regulations, etc)?

This meeting was live broadcast by SF Gov TV and the recording will be online soon. I really like being able to follow remotely. I didn’t pay much attention until the police commission candidates were being interviewed and stopped watching when they moved on to the next agenda item.
