The November 5, 2019 District Attorney election will be the first in over 100 years without an incumbent sitting district attorney (the person who currently is DA, George Gasçon, is not a candidate).

On September 9, 2019, the League of Women Voters of San Francisco co-sponsored a very informative forum hosted by the San Francisco Bar Association and the University of San Francisco School of Law. The forum, expertly moderated by Marisa Lagos, KQED Politics Correspondent and co-host of Political Breakdown, was an excellent opportunity to hear the four candidates answer questions and present their visions of criminal justice in San Francisco in the 21st century.
