Lyfe Watch, The First Smartwatch to Pay for MRT and TransJakarta

Living a healthy lifestyle and daily activities, especially in a big city like Jakarta, will get easier. Start-up company Lyfe has collaborated with PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI to launch Lyfe Watch, a smartwatch with the first payment function in Indonesia. The launch of Lyfe Watch was held on July 5, 2019, in coinciding with BNI’s 73rd anniversary.
With this collaboration, Lyfe Watch is equipped with NFC and TapCash cashless payment technology that allows users to pay for various daily needs quickly and easily, no need to take out a wallet or even a card.
From the beginning, Lyfe Watch has been designed to support the lifestyle and activities of its users. “Lyfe Watch, especially with TapCash, is indeed designed to support the activities of Indonesian people who have high mobility so that everything can be done quickly,” said Indra Darmawan, CEO Lyfe.
As a realization, Lyfe Watch can be used by users for to pay for MRT and TransJakarta tickets, parking at Gelora Bung Karno and several main train stations, shopping at minimarkets with TapCash EDC, to several recreational parks.
Lyfe Watch is very easy to use, just tap Lyfe Watch on the reader machine and all transactions can be completed in an instant. To check the amount of TapCash balance or top up TapCash balance, it can be done through the TapCash Go app which can be downloaded on Google Play.
Besides being a payment watch, Lyfe Watch also functions as a fitness and health tracker to support users’ healthy lifestyle. Lyfe Watch is equipped with a step counter feature, a heart rate and blood pressure monitor, and a burned calorie tracker. All Lyfe Watch features can be synchronized with Lyfe App, so that body condition data can be stored and monitored more accurately.
