Lympo Community Update #5 [February 11th]

Dear Lympo community,

We want to share the steps we take to ensure smooth operations of the Lympo NFT ecosystem and minimize the unpleasant effects for LMT token holders following the hacking incident on January 10th, 2022.

During the past 2 weeks, we haven’t stopped regular operations — we’ve signed 8 new athletes and announced our first blockchain Play 2 Earn game. With the setback in Q1, we’re working around the clock to ensure a strong Q2 and Q3 for Lympo.

At the same time, Lympo team members have been working together with Animoca Brands to prepare for the launch and distribution of a new token.

Here’s everything that’s currently happening in regards to the new token launch:

Snapshot Finalization

We don’t want to leave a single community member behind; that’s why we’re making sure the new token is distributed across LMT holders that held before the hack and bought after the attack had happened.

Anyone that held LMT tokens before the Snapshot Nr2 was taken will receive the new token. You can find the transaction that triggered Snapshot Nr2 here —

Dedicated New Token Website

To make the new token distribution seamless, we’re preparing a dedicated website that will launch in the near future.

Users will be able to find relative information about the new token — all in one place.

Smart Contract Details

Even though the original LMT contract hasn’t been breached and has been audited by a third-party firm, we’re still taking the time triple-checking the Smart Contract details for our new token. Working together with Animoca Brands, we aim to reach a new standard of security.

Hacking Investigation

We’ve already filed police reports in three jurisdictions, and we’re working with law enforcement to proceed with the investigation. However, we’re also taking action and hired an investigation firm to assist the police and help uncover new details.

Due to the sensitive nature of these operations, we can’t disclose the information we currently have.

We’re still sticking to the initial 3 phase plan you can find here:

Even with the setback, Lympo is going full steam ahead. More athletes, new games and more ways to interact with your favorite sports stars are just around the corner.
