The legendary snooker player Shaun Murphy joins Lympo Athlete Pool

Lympo is partnering with yet another legend in Shaun Murphy, a.k.a. “The Magician.” Murphy is one of the most well-known snooker players in the world. He has been playing snooker professionally since 1998, and is still going strong.

Murphy will be a part of our elite LYMPO athlete pool. In this pool, users can stake LMT tokens to mint NFTs. We know that Murphy has many dedicated fans all over the world, and we are excited to see where this newfound partnership takes us.

Murphy’s Career:

Sean Murphy has been playing snooker on a professional level for over 20 years. He first began playing at 8, when his family bought a snooker table. He already had sponsorship at the age of 13 and was playing professionally by the age of 15.

He became known for his straight cue action and long potting, which earned him the nickname “The Magician.” He was born and raised in the UK and has earned over $4 million (GBP) in prize money. One of Murphy’s huge milestones was the fact that he won the 2005 World Championship, where his odds before the tournament were 50 to 1.

Murphy continued to win all sorts of championships and tournaments and is known for being a bit of a showman. He is also only the second person in history to whitewash an opponent at the world championships, which he accomplished in 2019 against Luo Honghao. He remains one of the highest-ranked snooker players in the world.
