Dear Lympo Community,

You must have witnessed all the buzz around the “Metaverse” last week after Mark Zuckerberg announced the rebranding of his company to “Meta.” Regardless of whether it’s good or bad that a big centralized tech company is venturing into this space, we can’t ignore the buzz it has evoked across the world for both crypto and non-crypto people. Let’s see how this “Metaverse” will take shape, but we’re glad that Animoca Brands is leading to create a Metaverse that is open to all.

We’ve had a big week at Lympo, as we’ve finally been able to announce our partnership with Polygon Studios to bridge NFTs to Polygon and develop Play-to-Earn blockchain games. Soon, we can say goodbye to those crazy gas fees on the ERC-20 blockchain that we’re currently experiencing.

Find out more about our partnership with Polygon Studios — and more — in today’s Weekly Roundup. And happy Halloween! 🎃

Last week’s recap

Lympo partners with Polygon Studios 🚀

The news is out! Lympo and Polygon Studios are partnering up to bridge Lympo NFTs to the Polygon blockchain and to develop Play-to-Earn blockchain games.

Polygon Studios is a new NFT-centric gaming and metaverse hub designed to facilitate Web 3 integration. This partnership will allow us to reduce fees and better your staking experience, so you’ll be able to utilize your Lympo NFTs in the first-ever Lympo game later on.

The bridge to Polygon will start on November 3rd at 23:59 UTC and end on November 4th at 10:00 UTC. So be aware that any Lympo NFTs minted or credits earned during this time will not be accounted for. We’ll snapshot all of the account data on November 3rd at 23:59 UTC and automatically transfer all of your Lympo NFTs and “Credits” to the Polygon blockchain. Please read our announcement article here to make sure you’re up to date.

Another Q&A with Ada Jonuse coming up! 🎥

New announcements often bring some questions, so we want to let you get them answered in another Q&A video with Lympo’s CEO, Ada Jonuse.

It’s not too late to submit your questions, so head over here to let us know what you want to Ada to talk about. As always, we’ll release a pre-recorded video in which Ada answers the most significant questions.

GeckoCon — NFTs gone wild

Explore the paradigm shift in gaming and sports and how the Metaverse will change audience engagement via NFTs. Tune into the sessions with Yat Siu, Robby Yung, Ada Jonuse, and Matt Solomon!

Animoca Brands proudly present this event, and it’s great to see Ada, Yat, Robby, and Matt take the stage together. For more info, visit the website.

Toward the New Future Economy

Yat Siu has a clear and robust vision for the future. One where the concept of true digital ownership is made possible by blockchain technology, and gaming will serve as the entry point for mass adoption.

He has provided a summary of what he means by true digital ownership and play-to-earn, followed by a discussion of how Animoca Brands is leading the way, so be sure to give it a read!

Looking ahead

Only a few more days, and we’re bridging our NFTs and staking platform to the Polygon Blockchain! Once again, make sure you’ve read the announcement so you’re up to date on why we’re doing this and how it will shape the future of the Lympo NFTs platform.

After the merge has happened, there will be a lot of new functionalities that we’re going to implement for all Lympo users. You’ll hear more about it, from faster swapping between blockchains to NFT staking mechanisms in the upcoming time.

In the meantime, submit your questions for the Q&A, and enjoy your week. We will have many more important announcements ahead of us!
