The Funky Monkeys of Lynbrook High School competed at the FIRST Robotics Championship in Houston, Texas, for the first time since 2014.

Among the field of 68 teams in our division, we were the 1st pick on the field! We joined the #1 alliance with Team Titanium (1986), East Cobb Robotics (4910), and Bot Busters (4635), and competed through the quarterfinals.

The championship competition rounds out the Funky Monkey’s most successful season. In the competitions leading up to championships, we were the 2nd pick on the field at the Silicon Valley Regional and the 1st pick on the field at the Hub City Regional where we were finalists and regional winners respectively. At those events, we received the Quality Award sponsored by Motorola and the Excellence in Engineering Award sponsored by Delphi.

Thank you for all of your support throughout this year!
