Lynbrook Robotics wins 2016 Safety Animation Award
The Funky Monkeys, Lynbrook’s Robotics Team, have won the 2016 Safety Animation award. FIRST writes:
Congratulations, FRC Team 846, The Funky Monkeys, from San Jose, California, USA, on your winning entry! The Funky Monkeys will be receiving a special UL-designed trophy at one of their events, and their animation will be played at every FRC event this season.
Each year, we compete with other FIRST Robotics teams to produce a 40 second animation about safety. This year we were asked to use a medieval theme, in keeping with this year’s robot game, “Stronghold”.
The vision and production of our animation was directed by student Brian Lo, and complemented with original music and rap performed by Amrita Iyer.
