Never Enough (Lyrics)

--

Step unto the fire escape
Take a look around
Strike a match for my cigarette
Makes such a gentle sound

All I hear inside my head
Is the rain falling down
You and I are better off
So lost we can’t be found

And time will never be enough

Look down on shadowed towns
Where we taunt and we fight
Who will draw the circles?
Then who will draw the lines?

When I stand upon our years
I can see to the end
Have we not been here before?
Will we return again?

And time will never be enough

Want to be your falling star
The one you love the most
Watch the lanterns of the angels
Fly coast to coast

Want to be the precious stone
That you’ve been dreaming of
I can’t help but entertain
I’m not the one you love

And time will never be enough
