Memories Of Mom
Poem — Memories of Mom …
Without you mom — I couldn’t be writing words for you,
Wouldn’t hear a Nightingale’s song
Or see another day’s coming sun —
Mom .. you’re simply the best, it’s true!
Mom, you’re life’s manifest and I’ve been blessed,
For you’re the special one that gave me my first kiss —
And you were always there to hold my hand .. both sweet and tough
But the time we had was hardly enough.
Mothers — so much more than a symbol of home sweet home
(aromas of favorite meals prepared with love, a listener, a teacher — a care giver),
The true one taking pride in what we do —
Our number one fan and cheerleader too,
Regardless of where we go off to roam.
Then comes a day your presence’s heartfelt
(Bringing tears, not hearing your voice
or seeing again those sparkles in your eye),
And those memories we had become treasures we keep,
Giving me a smile before falling asleep …
Knowing a Special Angel will be waiting for me!
