Now I Know

Poem —Now I Know …

When I close my eyes
I see
A giddy breeze soothing your face,
The glow of stars reflecting in your eyes, and
A peaceful smile so full of grace
Filling my soul with love and hope.

It’s then too when
I hear
The softness of your token words,
As soothing .. as a gentle wave caressing a shore
Restoring my faith in what lies beyond,
A bond of love consigned to mankind.

Now I know
One day
An Angel will be there to greet me, and
Lead the way to a place,
Alive with laughter of friends new and old,
To behold His compassion and absolution.
