As if we weren’t excited enough to partner with Creative Artists Agency to power two tours for Ella Mai — the breakout artist is the first British performer in 26 years to hit №1 on Billboard’s U.S. R&B chart.

The last time was in 1992, with Lisa Stansfield’s “All Woman.”

As The Guardian reported, Mai tweeted her delight at the news.

“1992, before I was born. First in my lifetime. INSANE,” she wrote.

After becoming an Intagram superstar by covering others’ hits, Mai’s own single, “Boo’d Up” climbed past Drake’s “Don’t Matter to Me” last month.

Her song is still №1 after three weeks as of Aug. 6.

The success of “Boo’d Up” is a reflection of Mai’s tour of the same name. As we noted last week, Lyte has partnered with Creative Artists Agency to power two Boo’d Up tours.

The first tour sold out in less than a day. The Lyte and CAA partnership has revealed some pretty significant results that showed the talent agency what kind of fan demand Mai can bring in (a lot).

There were 5,211 fan sign-ups and reservations, with a 7,085 capacity. What’s more, the tour gained additional revenue through pre-booked credit card reservations in the first week it went live.

Bottom line: when Lyte powers a tour, awesome things happen.

Now, CAA is getting a better idea on venues and ticket prices for the tour’s second leg. That is especially important as the artist’s talent continues to blow everyone away — both on the charts and on stage.

Keep killing it, Ella.
