Always Be Evolving
At Lytmus, we’re always absorbing user feedback. As a result, we uncover a ton of useful ideas that will help our users in meaningful ways.

One recent example is our enhanced Greenhouse integration.

What Was?
In November of 2015, we launched our first Greenhouse integration and with it brought a streamlined hiring process.

Our customers can send Lytmus Tryouts within their existing Greenhouse workflow and the Tryout results automatically end up back in their already established Greenhouse process.

Once a candidate receives a Lytmus invite through Greenhouse, we take over:

First, we handle the account creation — only making a new user if necessary. Then we send out a helpful email invitation with instructions on how to get stared with their Tryout experience. After the candidate completes their Tryout we inform Greenhouse and send along their score as well as a link to their report.

What Was Not?
As time went on, our customers told us about how they found the integration helpful to their workflow. And luckily, we also heard about what was missing.

Ultimately, our customers wanted more transparency into the candidate’s progression through their Lytmus experience.

With this feedback in hand, we made good use of Greenhouse’s robust API to make things better.

What’s New?
We’re now integrated with Greenhouse’s Activity Feed. We’re also sure to include Tryout owners in each invitation email sent to candidates.

Invitation Emails
To improve our customer’s vision, we now bcc each Tryout owner every time they send a candidate invitation through Greenhouse. This inclusion brings extra confidence to the assessment process.

Activity Feed
Greenhouse’s Activity Feed provides a central location to track candidate progress through the hiring funnel.

We now share key moments of the Lytmus Tryout experience with Greenhouse. Each moment includes a timestamp to make tracking candidates even easier.

For example:

  1. Lytmus Invitation Was Sent
Princess Leia was sent an email inviting them to start the Java Engineer Tryout and Yoda (the Tryout owner) was bcc’d as well.”
  2. Lytmus Tryout Was Started
Princess Leia started the Java Engineer Tryout.”
  3. Lytmus Tryout Was Completed
Princess Leia submitted the Tryout via Lytmus.”
