First, the ‘trade rumors’ surrounding Kyrie Irving, and now it’s a strong possibility that Nike doesn’t want to extend his shoe deal. All of these events are starting to affect Kyrie due to his unavailability actions.
According to Bleacher Report on Twitter, Kyrie Irving’s shoe deal with Nike will not extend past this year. After witnessing Kyrie’s disappointing season, Nike can’t trust that he will commit to the game of basketball.

In the previous years before the pandemic, Kyrie was on time and was ‘available’ to his team (only Cleveland years), exception of his former team the Boston Celtics. Other than that, Kyrie’s current situation is biting him right now. Getting swept by the Celtics in the 1st round. Being called out by Brooklyn Nets GM Sean Marks for ‘availability’. Finally, Nike doesn’t want you to represent them in the near future after this year.
At this rate, no one would want any part of Kyrie in whatever they do. Furthermore, Kyrie’s 2022–2023 player option can be a major factor heading into the next season. There will be a lot of questions about Kyrie’s future and how it all unfolds.
