The Holistic Healing Day 20th May at Amrita Hall, Bromley MA Centre

Holistic health is about caring for the whole person, and bringing the physical, mental and spiritual dimensions of our being into harmony. With that in mind, we offered a broad range of therapies: ayurvedic treatment, massage, craniosacral therapy, kinesiology, and spiritual and angelic healing. These were offered at £20 per half-hour treatment — which, I hope you would agree, was a very reasonable price. We had a wonderful poster for the day designed by Debi Ani, and help to publicise the event from Shalini and Esther.

First thing Shankerji invoked the spiritual vibrations with a beautiful prayer to Amma, and a request to Ganesha to remove obstacles for the event. He then shared his immense wisdom through the Vedic chanting workshop, in the morning and afternoon. Shakti dance and kirtan were also offered by the talented Lydia, who has just released her own album — we felt honoured indeed to have her present.

Then the physical dimension of our being was also nurtured by a wonderful nutritious meal, provided by Raji, Jaya, Michelle, Robin, Torquil and Uma Devi. My one regret for the day is not to have photographed a plate of this tasty and delicious lunch! We also sold tea and cakes, both morning and afternoon organised by Esther with generous donations made by Zani and many more.

People stayed for hours, savouring the healing atmosphere. The warm sun and blue sky on the day made the setting even more attractive. Eight of those people were visiting the MA Centre for the first time and hopefully will now go on to meet Amma someday soon.

Our thanks besides the above mentioned to our healers for being on hand to practice their arts all day: Catherine, Mithranand, Dr Akhil, Katya, Stefania and Ocean. And, finally, the organisational and practical skills of Nuala, Rahul and Andrew are much appreciated.
