Easy Guide on Using Finder and Spotlight Search on Macbook
How to operate a MacBook if you haven’t used it before
Purpose
This series of stories aims at providing a user guide for the MacBook. I wrote this while I am teaching one of my colleagues how to operate a MacBook. There might be others who are in the same boat and are not using MacBook just because they don’t have any knowledge about it.
Intended Audience
Folks who don’t have any knowledge of using computers or have only used computers with Microsoft Windows on them now want to learn how to operate a MacBook.
Pre-requisites
Access to a MacBook is required.
In this story, I will explain how to use an Application on MacBook. While doing so, I will help you make two new friends. For now, just try to remember the names of these friends:
Meet my friend, Finder who is going to be your friend forever:
Meet my other friend, Spotlight Search, who is going to be your friend indeed:
What is an Application?
Applications are the software packages that are installed on your MacBook. These software packages are the very means through which you will be able to use your MacBook. An application on a MacBook is similar to the applications you may have on your smartphones.
