Machi X Curator Program

Machi X artist and DAO member @c0mput3rxz explains the inspiration behind his art at the Machi X Gallery.

We are excited to announce the first iteration of the Machi X curator program. This curator program is a way to continue bringing in new artists, patrons, and experimentations on NFTs. In addition to the excitement and support of curating exhibits with the support of the Machi X DAO, curators will also receive a portion of the initial NFT sale for their work. Themes

Machi X is looking for curators across themes that can bring in fun and interesting content that will appeal to both the current cryptoart collectors as well as non-cryptonatives. By introducing more artists to cryptoart, we are accelerating the adoption of crypto through integration of more artists and patrons in this space.

Themes discussed so far include Comic art, Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality, Anime and more. While we have existing candidates in mind for curators on upcoming shows, we certainly welcome proposals from outside of the Machi X DAO.

Who’s Responsible for What?

Curators should propose:

• Theme
• Artists and associated works
• Event name, date, time(s)

Machi X DAO can provide:

• Minting/listing the NFT, transfer of proceeds to curator/artists
• Cryptovoxels parcel for the duration of the exhibit and collaborate on build
• Marketing support

Curator’s Commission

The curator’s commission is currently set at 30% of the proceeds that Machi X DAO receives, which works out to approximately 5–7% of total initial sale of the exhibit. Currently for Machi X NFT sales, artists receive 80% of initial sales, while Machi X gets 20% to cover fees (Token minting, OpenSea listing, etc.) and keep the remainder for the DAO. Artists will also receive 10% on all secondary sales. The curator commission will be payable in MCX tokens. Curators can use the MCX tokens toward joining the Machi X DAO, or exchange them for any other cryptocurrency.
