Machi X DAO Onboarding Guide
Machi X is a collective of artists and patrons, curating and collecting digital art. The Machi X DAO is a member-directed organization where members pool resources, create proposals (Machi X Improvement Proposals, or MIPs) to improve Machi X, and approve governance changes for the Machi X ecosystem.
Membership into the Machi X DAO is open to everyone that is interested in participating in the Machi X ecosystem. Admissions into the DAO requires a membership proposal and pledge of MCX tokens to the Machi X DAO through Pokemol here. Through the decentralized governance, member-driven model, we hope to provide rules for and manage the following:
- Collect & Manage Funds
- Curate/Commission Art
- Mint Tokens
- Collect/Distribute Royalties
- Establish/Update Policies
- Provide Transparency
- Promote Machi X DAO, artworks, and artists

Tribute funds: Machi X DAO will accept tribute in $MCX tokens. Each 10,000 MCX tribute equals 1 share in the Machi X DAO. Follow this link to obtain $MCX from Uniswap.
Other ERC20 Tokens that the Machi X DAO will manage: $ETH, $DAI, $USDC, $BNB, $OKB, $MITH.
Steps to Pledge to and join the Machi X DAO, once you have a web3 wallet like Metamask, Trust Wallet, or Coinbase Wallet loaded with MCX and some ETH for gas fees:
1. Go to the Machi X DAO Pokemol page via this link; sign-in with Web3 via your wallet with the upper right “Sign In=>” link and click on the “Sign In with Web3” button. Pokemol supports both Metamask as well as Wallet Connect for Trust Wallet/Coinbase Wallet access.
2. Click on the “New Proposal” button on the upper right, and then the “Member” link to submit a Membership proposal.
3. Unlock MCX tokens: Click on the “unlock” button and accept the transaction; wait for the transaction to complete. This allows the Pokemol dApp to use MCX in your wallet.
4. Complete the simple form, starting with the title including your name or handle. E.g.- “Membership proposal #1: Leo Cheng”
In the Short Description, write us a message. E.g.- “Propose to have Leo Cheng join the Machi X DAO”
In the Link section, you can include your social media profile — Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
For Shares Requested, please be sure to enter 1 share per 10,000 MCX you are submitting for tribute. Proposals with incorrect figures will be rejected.
Hit “Submit” and accept the transaction.
5. Join the Machi X Discord via this link. Go to the #🍍-introductions channel, tell us a bit more about yourself, and announce that you’ve pledged to join the Machi X DAO!
