Let the Public do the Job | Smallish Post 5

There is power in giving public the access to tools. Once one of the earliest computers became available in homes, naturally people like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs took interest as a young kid and started creating world changing software. If the government only let scientists and government officials use the computers, we may have lived in a very different world. We can learn from this, that rapid advancement only happens when people can get their hands on the tools which throughout most of the history, upperclass withheld from the general public.
