The music industry is truly a place where copyright and its implementation gets very messy. There seems to be a difficulty drawing the line on what is stealing and what is not. I had a thought about how everything is a remix and how another industry, the fashion industry uses that differently. In fashion, it is very common to reuse styles that were trendy a few decades ago and make it mainstream again. I feel like the music industry is sort of heading the same direction. I am hearing more of 50s vibe in some pop music. I think maybe we have reached a point in Pop music where being original is nearly impossible and have to be tolerant with more reusing of previous generations creations.
