Apple released its latest 13-inches MacBook Pro and MacBook Air at the end of last year. At the start of the new year, we got some fresh news related to the upcoming MacBook Pro features. Today a report published by MarkGurman on Bloomberg, he is claiming that Apple is working to bring the SD Card Slot back to its upcoming MacBook Pro series. Customers are waiting for this feature for a long time. Apple dropped the SD Card Support in 2016. Also, he mentioned that due to the heavy criticism of Touch Bar Apple is now planning to remove that from the upcoming MacBook Pro’s.

Mark Gurman said:

“The company is planning to bring back an SD card slot for the next MacBook Pros so users can insert memory cards from digital cameras. That feature was removed in 2016, to the consternation of professional photographers and video creators, key segments of the MacBook Pro user base. The heavily criticized Touch Bar, the current model’s touchscreen function row, is also going.”

As we already know how many MacBook Pro users need the micro SD Slot especially the professionals like photographers, video editors, etc. After the 2015 MacBook Pro models, users are forced to use extra dongles for connecting SD cards to their MacBook Pro. So we are hoping this news will make all of them happy. On the other side, Touch Bar didn’t impress many MacBook Pro customers. Many users mentioned it as an “Unnecessary addition” to the keyboard of the MacBook Pro.

Mark also claimed that Apple is working on 5G cellular connectivity for the upcoming Macbook Pro. It will help the Macbook Pro to connect to the internet via a smartphone network. He also mentioned that FaceID is probably coming to the Macbook Pro. To that end, Face ID had originally been planned to arrive in this year’s iMac redesign, but it’s now unlikely to be included in the first iteration of the new design.

According to the previous reports we have seen so far. That Apple is planning to refresh Macbook Pro with MagSafe charging support, improved display technology, and the latest M1 system on a chip from Apple. By combining all these leaks and rumors, it is sure that Apple is going to launch a new lineup of Macbook’s in 2021 and hopefully we will see all the features Apple users have asked for a very long time.
