Apple is a divisive company. A look through the comments section of an MKBHD video tells as much. Whether the company earns its fanfare is certainly up for debate. However, with a market cap well above $2 Trillion and the title of the world’s most valuable company (as of writing), its success as a business is undisputed.

A large portion of its success can be credited to its loyal user base which has grown exponentially since the release of the first iPhone in 2007. Despite this, Apple has found itself making questionable consumer decisions, with some leading to nasty lawsuits and fat settlements.

Keeping shareholders happy is no easy task, and corporations are not above playing a little dirty to nudge customers in the right direction.
