Unlike macOS Big Sur, the new macOS Monterey is a muted update that mainly focused on improving what’s already been launched with Big Sur and a few new cool features like Universal Control across your Apple devices, Share Play. But what’s similar is that like every year there will always be an abundance of underrated features.

Apple always slips in a few nifty features and hides them in almost every iteration of macOS. Big Sur had a few hidden and underrated features and so does the latest macOS Monterey. Sometimes these are hidden in plain sight but most of the time these features are buried deep in settings. Here are a few underrated macOS Monterey features that could use some love.

Finder

Finder got some interesting additions in the Monterey update. It now has macOS Shortcuts integrated into it, with this you can automate things the way you want. It also offers a pie chart progress window when copying files. Finder also gets an enhanced “go to folder” window which will give an improved auto-completion engine and a new look.
