No matter how many note-taking apps I try, I always end up in the soft and warm embrace of Apple Notes. On most occasions, my reasons are related to how instantly the Notes app helps me capture Quick Notes or how awesome it is that it’s completely free!

For most of my typed notes, I prefer Notion (on my Mac and iPad), whereas Notability & GoodNotes on iPad help me organize my handwritten notes. However, after trying the new fall updates to Apple Notes, I had to reconsider all the note-taking/workspace apps I was using. Apple seems to have upped their game. They finally added some AI features (Apple Intelligence, of course). Those features led them to rethink some other formatting options. I am glad this happened. I can finally focus on getting things done in a single app, instead of switching across all the note-taking and workspace apps.
