Face ID with a mask

To be fair, Apple only recently introduced this feature with the iOS 15.4 update; however, not many people are using it yet.

Ever since the start of the pandemic, apart from having to wear masks, most iPhone users also had another inconvenience of entering the passcode to unlock their iPhone, as Face ID doesn't work when you are wearing a mask.

Thankfully, Apple added a feature to the iOS 15.4 update allowing iPhone users to unlock their iPhone with Face ID even when wearing a mask.

While Apple does advise that this feature is not as secure as unlocking your iPhone with full-face recognition, it is still extremely convenient, even though most countries have rescinded their mandatory mask rules already.

How to use this feature:

Note: This feature is only available on iPhone 12 and later.

To use this feature on your iPhone, make sure your iPhone is running iOS 15.4 or above and then head over to Settings->Face ID & Passcode and then enable the Face ID with a Mask option.
