Apple AirPods Max Long Term Review
As you already know, AirPods Max is Apple’s expensive way to listen to music. In the beginning of the release, some of you may have thought that spending that kind of money on a device like this is a waste. This article is written to prove that is wrong. So, let’s see how this AirPods Max have improved with time.
With number of firmware updates that Apple has given for this AirPods Max, the ultimate experience has drastically changed from what it was from the beginning.
Even using these headphones for more than half a year, it physically looks the same and works the same. The build quality is super high, and the durability is quite satisfying. The headband and the ear cushions will look like brand new ones even after months of using. If there were any issues with the battery life, now they are gone thanks to the Apple firmware updates. Another firmware was able to improve the active noise cancellation much more than it was before. Even in a flight you won’t have any interruptions from noises with the noise cancellation enabled with latest firmware updates. This noise cancellation feels very similar to a Sony advance headphone types or even much better.
If you want to interact with others while listening to music, then the Transparency mode works well too. You can listen to whatever you want and still can keep a good touch with the outside world without missing a thing. The built-in microphone too is surprisingly great.
Despite all those things, the most impressive thing is newly supported lossless audio feature from Apple Music. Before the lossless audio didn’t work but the Spatial Audio did. Now Lossless audio via Bluetooth works too and yes, it is not the maximum lossless audio experience, but it is much better than what you listen to using Spotify. And with the Dolby Atmos you can enjoy a marvelous sound experience with the Dolby Atmos supported tracks. Even for artists that work often with audio it is a great facility — they can play and test sounds anywhere they want using this Dolby Atmos supported headphones. Apple offers the ability to enable Spatial Audio feature to track that haven’t been coded with Dolby Atmos feature. In that some songs performs well (mostly latest tracks) but some songs sound horrible (obviously pretty old ones). Though it is a single user experience it is much better than some of those home theater systems out there in the market. The lengths that this headphone can go is unbelievable. If you want a home theater system to provide this level of audio quality, then you will have to probably spend x10 times more than AirPods Max costs.
So, it is actually great if you decide to go for one of these amazing headphones. It has improved significantly with time and it will continue to do so. It is better if you can even find a refurbished pair of AirPods Max for about 20% lesser than the original price.
