Last month, with the iOS 18.1 update and corresponding macOS 15.1 and iPadOS 18.1 update, we got Apple Intelligence on all the supported devices. Apple Intelligence brought many exciting features and even some unsolicited ones that made rounds on the Internet — where everyone took sides, either praising or bashing Apple. But I believe that if there’s one Apple Intelligence feature that almost everyone unanimously would support and want on their devices, it would have to be the Writing Tools suite of features. And that is what I want to talk about today.
I am sure many of you want to know how good the suite of Writing Tools is. These include Proofread and Rewrite, changing content tones such as Friendly, Professional, & Concise, changing content volumes such as Summary, Key Points, List, & Table, and even a new ChatGPT Integration called Compose (with the iOS 18.2, macOS 15.2, and iPadOS 18.2 update). These work just as they are intended to and sometimes can manage to surprise you too, especially the Compose feature.
