Apple stock has dropped significantly recently. The primary cause was a report from Ming-Chi Kuo implying that orders for Apple’s latest iPhones have been lower than expected.

Other analysts have doubled down on that, predicting imminent disaster for anyone fool enough not to sell off their shares now.

Ming-Chi Kuo based his report entirely on the delivery times of the iPhone 16 Pro series being shorter than those of the 15 Pro series. As Apple doesn’t say how many phones they sold on Friday, nor how many phones they had ready to ship, this is possibly the entirely wrong conclusion.

Or, it might not be wrong. As I noted in another post here, Apple customers may be waiting until Apple Intelligence is more fully released over the next year. A number of well-known podcasters have advised waiting for the iPhone 17.
