I recently came back to Apple Watch after a long break not wearing one.

Overall I’m blown away by my Series 7 purchase. For me, it’s become the perfect fitness accessory.

It’s improved my fitness by helping to set goals and measure progress, whilst freeing me from my phone for music and audiobooks.

However, one aspect of the experience really lets the product down… sync.

Let’s dive in…

Music Sync

My expectation is that syncing music to Apple Watch would happen from the Music app.

The Music app is where my music lives, and it seems natural for there to be an “Add to Watch” option appearing in the context menu for songs, albums, and playlists…

I should select “Add to Watch” for the thing I want to add, and it syncs via the cloud. No further action is needed.

Instead, it is only possible to add music to the watch from an iOS device.
