Apple’s new iPad Pro Keyboard: Is it worth it?

When Apple released the new updated iPad Pro last month, they showcased their new Magic Keyboard. This beautiful, thin keyboard case has a backlit keyboard, a trackpad, USB-C port which lets the iPad have two ports and what makes this case like no other, it makes the iPad levitate. Its a brand new product and one-of-a-kind product in a sense, however, it starts at $299. As beautiful as it is, is it really worth it?

When we compare this keyboard to the last one, it's clearly better in many ways. First, the design of the case is substantially better than the last one. The previous keyboard case for the iPad Pro had this very weird material for the keys which I personally always found very uncomfortable. The keys itself were not very big, had very little travel. I always found that it was a very uncomfortable typing experience similar to the Macbook Pro 13-inch. To be honest, I never found the previous iPad Smart Keyboard Folio worth it.

With the design of this case, it is extremely simple. The iPad attaches to the case using magnets and the case matches the dimensions perfectly. The case is more rigid than your regular cases since when it opens, it gives more of a laptop feel. The keyboard is much better.
