YouTubers promoting useless products instead of reviewing them isn’t unusual. Like news agencies, many YouTubers have an angle, and it’s often the case where they (unintentionally) misinform their viewers.

I have wasted enough time on the “Tech YouTube Community” to know that most of it is a waste of time. So, I’m writing an article explaining the myths mentioned by many YouTubers and why they are incorrect.

Before reading this article, I recommend reading my previous piece on the mistakes of buying a Mac, as you may find its information helpful.

Before I go on with my arguments, I must mention a few essential points:

  1. Upgrading your Mac yearly doesn’t make sense — financially and logically!
  2. Once you buy an Apple Silicon Mac, upgrading it makes you prone to reach the law of diminishing returns.
  3. Buying a two-year-old Apple Silicon Mac that’s not refurbished (Apple Certified Refurbished) isn’t financially sound.
