Previously, expensive and technically complicated equipment was required to make a video. Fortunately, this is no longer true today. With the iPhone, anyone can be a filmmaker.

Whether you want to remember your holidays or need to make a business video, iPhone, small items and a good video editing program will do the trick.

How to make a good video on the iPhone? What do you need?

Tripod

The most basic piece of equipment is a tripod that allows you to adjust the position of your phone and ensure video stabilisation. Video stabilisation can also be remedied to some extent in a video editing program, but building material is still an important feature of filmmaking equipment. For example, such a Joby GripTight is an ideal piece. This small adjustable tripod is foldable and easy to adjust. Joby takes almost no space compared to classic large tripods and you can easily put it in your backpack or handbag.

Microphone and lens

Other features include a clear microphone and lens. Although the iPhone itself has a high-quality microphone and camera, for more professional video, these aspects can be further enhanced with small accessories. The external microphone ensures clearer sound without ambient noise and provides better control over the video’s audio track. You will appreciate this when editing a video.

There are several lenses. They are wide, micro or fisheye lenses. It depends on the purpose of the video. If it is a working video, the lens setting may not even be needed. When shooting holiday or film videos, the range of lenses and their various effects can affect the appearance of the video and give it the hallmark of professionalism and originality.

Video lighting

Lighting is one of the most complicated aspects of shooting. It is, therefore, easiest to rely on natural lighting.

Hooray to post-production!

The video and movie editor has a big impact on how the final editing will look. It is no coincidence that the film is made three times. The first time a script is written, the second it is filmed, and the third time the editor edits it. Editing videos is important because it can save a lot but also go bad.

Apple offers video editing right on the phone, but this application doesn’t offer as many options as video editing on a computer where a special video editing program can be used. There are several programs in which you can edit your video.

Most Mac users are probably familiar with iMovie to edit videos. But what other editing programs exist for Macbooks?

Adobe Premiere Pro

Premiere Pro is a very popular and widespread video editing program that is also used by professionals. Its control is not complicated, and even the most basic things can be done by everyone. Adobe Premiere Pro is part of the Adobe Cloud, which includes several other applications such as photo editing, visual effects, and more. You must subscribe to the Adobe Cloud, but you can only pay for the editing program itself.

Movavi

Especially for Windows, it is worth mentioning Movavi Video Editor. Movavi is a simple and likeable video editing program that includes over 120 filters, transitions, titles, and effects. The program also comes with free versions, and its sleek and simple design helps create a professional-looking video for those who are new to video editing.

Adobe Premiere Pro and Movavi are available for both Windows and Macbooks.

Shooting videos on the iPhone is not complicated at all, as is their subsequent editing. With Joby GripTight tripods and programs like Movavi or Adobe, everybody can do it!
