How to Stop Your iPhone Overheating

If your iPhone is heating, then it is not normal. iPhone uses a heat sink to cool down internal circuits. I sometimes experience overheating of my iPhone. It is not good for your device if you’re planning to use iPhone for a longer period.

The normal iPhone operating temperature is between 0º and 35º C (32º to 95º F). If your iPhone temperature is in this range, you’ll not get any overheating issues. iPhone is designed in such a way that it can easily work -20º and 45º C (-4º to 113º F). degrees Fahrenheit temperature.

What I observed is, when I kept my iPhone in a parked car, it got an overheating problem. High exposure to sunlight also causes the same problem in the iPhone.

What is overheating of the iPhone?

You will wonder why iPhone overheats? It runs on a lower voltage. When you use your iPhone, battery and other hardware (system on chip) generate constant heat.

The metal housing of an iPhone works as a heat sink and it dissipates heat to keep your iPhone cool.
