For years, my iPad has been my trusty steed, my main computer, my canvas for writing and productivity. I’ve defended it fiercely, sung praises of its versatility, and scoffed at the notion that a MacBook could offer anything better for my workflow. But today, I find myself standing at the edge of a shift, tempted by something I never thought I’d consider — a MacBook Air.
Yes, you read that right. The iPad fanboy has ordered an M4 MacBook Air.
Why This Sudden Change of Heart?
I have heard a lot about this machine. The balance of power, portability, and price makes it almost irresistible. For just ₹1,14,900 (~$1,299), I’m getting a 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD — a package that seems too good to ignore. Meanwhile, my iPad Pro M4 (9-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) cost ₹1,29,900 (~$1,499), and once I added the Magic Keyboard, it jumped to ₹1,64,800 (~$1,899).
