iOS17 brings exciting new life to the iPad

This week saw the release of the public beta of iOS17 for the iPad.

Over the last few years, Apple has come in for a fair bit of stick for “forgetting” about the iPad or growing the hardware at a much faster rate than the software that would run on it.

However, things started to change a little when iOS16 was released last year and 2023 has seen that change gather momentum.

Below are some of the key updates that the iPad will be receiving as part of iOS17

Stage Manager:

2022 saw the introduction of Stage Manager and I think it’s fair to say that, while many iPad users were excited about its potential, it felt like a half-finished product.

Well, the good news is that the Apple team have been focusing a lot on it over the last twelve months and the result is a feature that allows a user to be in control of their windows for the first time. That’s because the windows and apps are much more flexible when it comes to re-sizing or moving them.
