Omdia Data for 2019

With a surprising entry of iPhone 11, just falling short of the top position. Usually, the newer models of the iPhone have lower sales, because Apple launches the new versions in the first week of October, and have less time to catch up on the sales made up during the past months.

But this time around, Apple updated the new iPhone and provided a better value for money proposition for the new iPhone 11. This lead to a sudden surge in the iPhone sales.

Then came 2020 hunting for everything but the iPhone 11. The new data from Omidia for Q1 2020 shows that Apple’s iPhone 11 did not face any problems during the lockdown.

While all other manufacturers have faced the heat from the Corona-virus situation, Apple does not seem to slow down. The budget iPhone is making for the combined sales of the next three top sellers.

Like always, Apple is ruling the top charts with four entries in the top 10 charts.
