The iPad is one of those devices that evolves with you as you grow. My first iPad experience was with an iPad 4th Generation, which I used purely for gaming through middle school and high school. Then in college, I got the M1 iPad Air along with an Apple Pencil for note-taking, and it was truly a game-changer for my study sessions, which became a hundred times more fun. I thought I had reached the pinnacle of a great iPad experience, but I was wrong — the apex was much higher.
When I started writing here on Medium while simultaneously also working at my day job as a Software Developer Engineer, I discovered the iPad was capable of so much more. The Apple Pencil was just the beginning; there were a ton of iPad accessories that soon started filling my cart. Even Apple rose to the occasion to introduce some iPadOS features that were so good that I didn’t even realize when I slowly started distancing myself from my Mac.
