I have a confession.
I am obsessed with reading.
And if there’s one thing I love apart from reading, it’s tech. The combined obsession of these two drove me to a Kindle, and my love for that device has only exponentially increased since then. But that was a decade ago. This year, more than ever before, I felt the urge to upgrade, and coincidentally, Amazon didn’t leave any stone unturned by not just refreshing their monochrome Kindles but also introducing the all-new Kindle Colorsoft with color e-ink.
As soon as I saw it, I wanted it. There was never a device I wanted more than the Colorsoft at the moment. But then, like waking up from a bad dream, the reviews for the new Colorsoft dropped, and they weren’t that great — thus, completely tossing my upgrade plans out of the window. I felt sad and was about to move on when the unexpected happened…
