Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the new iPhone SE; the cheapest entry point into iOS, and Apple’s oldest looking ‘new’ product.

What’s it all about? Who is it for? And are there any better alternatives?

iPhone SE 2022 price and specs

At £419, the iPhone SE 2022 is £20 more expensive than the outgoing model.

I, for one, cannot fathom why this is. It has the exact same chassis, pretty much the same camera, and the only new stuff inside is the A15 Bionic chip and 5G support.

Maybe the new colours are more expensive. After all, it wouldn’t be the first time, would it?
